Award Season (Part 1)
This award season has been absolute madness and it’s not over yet, but I wanted to share some highlights with you so far!
The season kicked off with the People’s Choice Awards, Critic’s Choice Awards, BAFTAs and AFI Awards all in one week for whom we were dressing our lovely new client Wendi McLendon Covey. The first fitting took place all in ONE day and after countless gown changes we had chosen seven dresses for the various events she was attending. Success!
We were thrilled to have pulled off such a feat in one day.
The next day we heard back that some of the choices weren’t working so it was back to the drawing board for us!
Pleasing the client is our number one priority, in this world your image is everything, but a big part of the process is also making sure the image we are conveying is approved by their manager and agent and suits the client’s career path as well. So many factors go into styling our talented ladies during award season, but always the end result must be something fashionable and flattering.
We are always looking for up and coming designers, to put something fresh and different on the red carpet so I was excited to be working with some new designers like Collette Dinniganfor her gorgeous beaded party frocks, Aussie designer Yeojin Bae’s innovative and oh so flattering dresses and amazing jewelry designer Solange Azagury Patridge!

- The SAG (Screen Actors Guild Awards) in a Green Angel Sanchez gown
- The Critics Choice Awards in a blue Angel Sanchez gown
- Producers Guild Awards in a short black Emilio de la Morena dress
- Melissa Rauch at the SAG Awards in Dalia McPhee
- Jaqueline Emerson in Preen at the Lucky Magazine Party
- Jessica McNamee in vintage Gucci at The Vow Premiere
We dressed three of our clients in Yeojin Bae:
- Maggie Grace for ‘The Grey’ premiere
- Marisol Nichols for Disney TCA Winter Press Tour
- Sharni Vinson for the Quantas Spirit of Australia Party
