Diesel Redesigns Women’s Denim With ‘Fit Your Attitude’

Diesel Redesigns Women’s Denim With ‘Fit Your Attitude’
Diesel is changing the denim landscape by creating five new fits for women —Grupee, Getlegg, Bootzee, Highkee and Myguy – to suit individual personalities as well as body shapes.
For most women finding and buying the ultimate pair of denim is an excruciating task, which usually ends in tears, but Diesel is here to the rescue with its Fit Your Attitude collection that includes all new silhouettes, improved finishes and better-fitting shapes that specifically flatter women’s bodies.
All styles in the collection share a constructed belt area that allows the waist to sit comfortably on the hips; moulded-to-the-body, double-stitched side seams (to balance the front and back); higher yokes and bigger back pockets (for an improved derrière); as well as common back patches and back pocket eagle design.
Below are the five new styles in the Fit Your Attitude collection. They all feature unique washes:
Grupee: a super-slim-fit jean with a super-skinny leg, it features a higher yoke and draws its inspiration from a strong and free spirited woman on a sexy night out at a club.
Getlegg: a slim-fit jean with skinny legs but wider at the knee and with a higher back that’s perfect for a real and positive girl in her free time for everyday life.
Bootzee: jeans perfect for dressing up and a hard day’s work, to feel sensual and sophisticated. A thin boot cut leg on a regular slim fit, with higher back pockets and a regular rise.
Highkee: the “night on the town” denim, inspired by the Fifties era, for a fashionable and chic look. Straight leg and slim fit with high waist and taller back pocket to guarantee a great look on the back.
Myguy: boyfriend jeans designed for spontaneous and playful women; the perfect denim for browsing a flea market on a Sunday morning. They feature a boyfriend-leg cut and a relaxed fit with a low crotch and slightly tapered leg.
With 30 years experience in denim, Diesel is well and truly an expert in its field and the five new silhouettes are sure to appeal to a wide array of fashion-conscious women, and end the tears!

Versace rocks Milan Fashion Wee

Versace rocks Milan Fashion Week
Not even the Topless feminists who clashed with police as they protested against the use of anorexic models outside the Versace fashion show, were able to ruin the show at Milan Fashion Week.
There are specific things that make a classic Versace show. A killer curve and the glint of metal mesh are to the Versace look as apple is to rhubarb.  Sure, you can enjoy one without the other but, together they are mind blowing.
By those criteria, Donatella Versace’s AW12 collection was a feast.
The collection kicked off with gothic black carved into an hour glass silhouette, decorated with jewelled Byzantine crosses, fishnet boots, a thumping soundtrack and a don’t-mess-with-me-attitude.  It closed with a collection of dresses that explored the outer limits of body conscious potential in metal mesh.
I have never seen anyone ‘own’ chain mail quite like Versace did.
In the tented venue in Milan, built on the back garden of the famous Palazzo Versace,Donatella Versace consolidated her position with a collection that put an end to any lingering sense that a pastel colored, romantic escapist fantasy is where the future of fashion lies.
Embracing a dark edge, Versace matched form-fitting designs with leather gloves and severe hair. Adding to the glamazon looks were heeled boots made of more mesh that ended at the knee. The Versace logo was even incorporated on a few pieces in the form of bold, graphic lettering.

Models with cropped fringes, a high heeled strut and hollow eyed make up channeled the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in sweaters embroidered or stamped with crosses over flippy skirts.
Corseted sheaths were shaped into hip exaggerating curves with chrome fins. And hourglass tailored coats clung to the body on corseted waists.
So, what did she do for the finale? A gown of pure silver chains and metallic fabric, of course!

All of the Above creative space launch – Perth, Donna Ferreri

All of the Above creative space launch – Perth, Donna Ferreri
On another balmy Perth night, in the central hub of 140 William, All of the Above (AOTA) held an invitation only launch party for their new pop-up space that so is full of potential, it will excite the creative juices of artists in Perth.

Open to the public until the end of April, this city central hub will allow fashion-focused artists to develop, hone and display their professional skills. The front section will act as an exhibition space that is frequently refreshed with new work and themes, allowing all areas to shine. The back area will facilitate the industry incentive master classes (led by the wonderful talents that make AOTA the sensation it is) along with a photographic studio.
AOTA also act like an agency for the fashion and beauty artists of Perth, incorporating hair, makeup, styling and photography. Emma Bergmeier and Hannah McGrath, the brains behind this initiative, have created the perfect one stop shop for businesses in Perth. By representing and creating a name for the artists here, hopefully it will cease the need for all our brilliant talents to ship on over to the Eastern States. Both Emma and Hannah are up for a Perth Fashion award this year, proving that this duo really knows what they can do and they do it well.
