Intricately Understated femininity at Alex Perry SS12/13
The lavish ornamentation and delicate embroidery showcased at the Alex Perry SS12/13 Runway last night for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival ignited audible sighs from the audience – both male and female – in a collection that was truly breathtaking.
Each design featured an element of intricate detailing; from embroidered flowers to beaded flowers, sequins and corsetry, all finished in luxurious skirts and glamorous silhouettes.
My favorite look of the night was a black and white dress with a corset bodice and sheer black skirting with detailed lacing on each tier, hand embroidered white flowers and an understated femininity.

Perry girl Megan Gale was adorned in a lavish knee-length design featuring intricate pink and green beaded flowers that appeared to grow organically over the sheer upper bodice.
Having walked the Alex Perry runway herself, her continuous support of the label is testament to its undying commitment to innate feminine beauty and the allure of a perfect silhouette.
Known for his high-octane glamour and timeless design aesthetic, Perry last night infused a new delicacy to his collections in what will be one of the best shows featured at this year’s Fashion Festival.
